Over the top Tuesdays - Sandy

I am still pretty much computer-less, so these posts are sans moi for the next couple of days, but I never let it stop my imagination from running wild...

Okay - I have NO idea how bad Hurricane Sandy will be, but I thought that over-the-top Tuesday should revolve around other Sandys:

Please, feel free to add your own:

Oh sure, she was pretty, and she fit into those black pants quite well in the end, but she was, well, a little dull....I always liked bad Sandy as opposed to prim and proper Sandy!

Sandy Bullock - okay I love her....

That was a faithful dog!

Oh she was cute!  Makes me want to grab my surfboard and head out!

How did you all make out/how are you all making out with this miserable storm?

Hope to be fully functional for tomorrow!

Stay safe out there and wear your galoshes!

Finally, in only slightly unrelated news.  Anderson Cooper's show is not going to be renewed.  And you know what that means?  It means that they will stick that dear sweet man out in the middle of vicious storms!!!  Have Americans no hearts?  You must all watch his show and write in and tell them not to cancel him!  Save Anderson!!!!

  1. We did not lose power here in Maine, but there are 80K without in the state. NY/NJ got really hammered. I hope everyone is OK this am.

  2. Lane good to know you have power and that you're okay. Brutal storm. WMM I was trying to think of Sandy's and I couldn't, see how you do my thinking for me? Why are they cancelling Anderson? I don't get it!
Miserable dark and windy here today, I could barely get out of bed.

    1. Dani, conspiracy theorist that I am - they WANT him to risk life and limb!

LOVE your post today - I will probably go back and comment more tonight!

  3. Hi WMM, glad to hear that all is well with you. Our little corner of the world wasn't too badly affected, but Toronto just to the south had some really bad winds and rain.
I'm sad that they are cancelling Anderson - that's one show I wouldn't mind being in the audience for if we ever get to New York.

  4. I'm with Dani, I could barely get out of bed today it is so gloomy. Really wanted to stay home and hunker down! Yesterday was very windy and scary, lots of power outages all around us but we were spared. Thankfully!

  5. OH SANDY Phone calls from good friends in NYC and NJ, so much disruption and damage. The Frankenstorm was a relative non-event in our part of Toronto. However an unrelated outdoor fire caused our building's fire alarm to go off repeatedly between 12:40 and 3:10 a.m. so I have cotton wool head. Since we live near the main power station for the city's downtown grid and in an apartment, we did all the food cooking, water buckets, cash, candles prep, so I am stumbling around putting everything away. Hope everyone in the affected areas, including QC where heavy rains are expected shortly, stays okay. Thoughts and prayers for those who have lost family. Thanks for the humour in the gloom WMM! I would never call her Sandy to her face, but do reserve a spot for Sandra Day O'Connor given her shake-up of the justices.
