Paging Katherine Hepburn!!!

Okay - a short post, but...

Today's outfit of the day was great, if I do say so myself...  Morse code schoolboy, Naomi top in navy polka dot, pearls, and wide leg pink tartan navy trousers, paired with Donald J. Pliner patent navy buckle kitten heels that I bought last year.  Ignore bleary eyes - Monday morning was hard today!

I just felt like a million bucks all day!

I wondered who I reminded myself of and then it hit me - I was channelling the late, great, Kate!  I LOVE Katherine Hepburn - she is one of my acting idols!

She had a unique style that had a point of view and was built around comfort and class.

I just felt so darn happy all day long!!!!

This is definitely an outfit I will wear again!

I hope your Monday was as sartorially splendid!  Do you ever find yourself unknowingly channelling your own style icons????

Have a great evening!

  1. Great looking outfit. Kate had a lasting style that was perfect IMHO. Oddly - I don't think I have a style icon. I really like and admire a lot of different looks. Jennifer Aniston often wears what I like-clean simple lines that are flattering and timeless, pretty jewelry and casual elegance.

    1. Yes one takes what one can get! I am coming to peace with the fact that I will never have a flat belly. ever. a few years ago I was very skinny (too skinny in fact) and i still had the belly and chest. Gotta embrace it!

      Thanks for the lovely compliment!

    2. WMM: It doesn't matter how skinny I get and I've tried believe me, the belly will not die! My legs look awful in some pics from two years ago, so horribly stick like.

You look amazing in this outfit it's really individual.

  5. This is a great look for you. KH's trousers look like the Hutton cut at JC; I have a pair of grey flannel ones here and I think it's just too much fabric even at 5'8". May go for the 1035's-- any one try these?

  6. WMM, you do look like a tall drink of water! So wonderful when one pulls on an outstanding outfit - especially on a Monday. Bucketing down here today, so any sartorial success I may have will be shrouded in a slicker, wellies and a hair clip for much of day. But I do have that same blouse. I am going to pull it out and pop it into my set of outfits for this week, ta.

    1. I actually forgot I had this blouse and then I was so darn proud for pattern mixing with the morse code. Honestly - I just don't get out enough....

  7. This is such a great "template" for you, correct lengths of jacket and pants, not to much going on at the neck, unified color theme... Well done, you look terrific!
