Joe Fresh Reviews - blue shift dress and denim popover

Today, I was at the local grocery store where they sell Joe Fresh.

Joe Fresh is a fun brand which is very good quality and stands up pretty well.

Today when I was looking around there were many cute things in for fall.

I picked up a very nice little shift dress:

$39!  It has cute little front pockets and can look pretty darn dressy for a cute little dress.

Here it is on the website:

Women Skirts/dresses Shift Dress

I also found a denim popover.  I have been eying these in J Crew, but they weren't on my list and I found them a little pricey..  But for $24 and 100% cotton, I am very pleased.  To be honest, these feel as good a quality as many of my J Crew items.

Tucked in with Porcelain Paisley!  Love it!
I am pleased with these purchases - cheap, but very nice!  I understand that Joe Fresh has partnered with JC Penney in the US - this is great as it will be easier for my American friends to find it.  In the interim, you can also visit the website here.

Have a wonderful day!!!

    1. Thanks Ina! Joe Fresh blatantly rips off J Crew, but they do it quite well in some pieces and for so cheap! It is nice for me at times, as I live nowhere near a J Crew I also hate to spend much on casual pieces, since I need to dress up for work!!

    2. Every retailer is doing the same as the others so who is really ripping off who? I've seen quite a few things at J.Crew that were done in the spirit of other lines as well. That's just fashion IMO.

  2. Hi WMM, great basic from JF and interesting news re. JCP alliance. The selection at my local supermarket is very small, but am lucky enough to be able to walk to a stand-alone TO store as well. Noticed they had strong navy and dark green pieces among all the remaining summer neon last week. Since Joe Mimran designed for Club Monaco for years before it was sold to RL, I prefer to see them as taking off that brand, as well as a bit of his wife's Pink Tartan and admittedly some Madewell pieces, versus JC, just me. Of course, I could be wrong and we'll see JF "Heart Me" replica sweaters beside our milk next month. Meantime, enjoy your popover steal. (PS Makes me kind of sad know seeing JC capris all over my city and JF on the streets of NYC - both of my former "insider" brands are getting very mainstream.)

    1. Gah, make that Mimram and now, not enough coffee yet to spell, apparently.

    2. HI GetFresh!

I hear you on the JC - even with JC moving into Maine, I am kind of concerned - I am the only one i know that wears JC around here! I would be devestated to see my Pompon pants on someone else!

  3. I am so intrigued. You JCA's always sport the cutest Joe Fresh items. I think the dress is adorable. And priced right where it should be!

    1. I know! I almost fell over when I saw the dress yesterday and the top! $65 CDN for both! Wonder how Joe Fresh will fare with JC Penney?

    2. WMM, after the stand-alone Manhattan stores, I thought JCP was a bit of a strange affliation. But I have not really visited one since uni - as in long ago. JC is coming into ME? That's a good drive for you, right? And my NS family, already LL Bean regulars, will like it too (just kinda blows my Xmas surprises.) KNITYARNS It is definitely cool to be able to pick up cute, affordable, decently made basics or trend colours along with the weekly groceries. Mostly, while I know it is a boon for many JCAs, I am slightly dreading the opening of a second Toronto JC this fall, just blocks from me. It's a fairly teen-and-tourist mall and I fear "ubiquity," mirroring the Anthro dress brigade the first summer they opened here.

    3. I hear you GetFresh! The JCrew is opening in Portland, which is a reasonable 5 hours away - in other words, a weekend destination!

WHen I heard the store was opening in the Eaton Centre, I kind of shuddered!

I am going to look for the J Crew equivalent in France - some store that is everywhere that everyone wears!

  4. The shift is really pretty and such a current silhouette. I have a few Joe Fresh pieces and I really like them, especially their cotton tees, which are some of the best I've ever tried. They also do color quite well and such great prices. Thanks for sharing the reviews.
