I can't wait for....

The new movie Suffragette slated for release this fall!

This movie looks so good and seems timely, as we have a woman, Elizabeth May, running for Prime Minister here in Canada, and there is of course, Hilary Clinton in the US.

A taste of what's to come:

Dr. Seuss's new book.

I know, it's out, but I haven't gotten a copy yet. I can't wait to get mine!

Ines' new store in Paris!
I have been reading all about her new shop, and I can't wait to stop in and see for myself!

a cure for cancer...

A good friend of mine recently lost their spouse to this dreaded disease and it seems to hit us all very close to home, doesn't it? I'm ready for a cure and saying a lot of prayers...

a glass of wine with family this weekend...

Good for the soul.  I have been meditating lately on grace and peace and have reclaimed my equilibrium around both. Thank goodness for quiet contemplation!

Those are my can't wait for's. How about yours?

  1. SUFFICIENT UNTO THE DAY I'd take any of those, especially a cure, for practical purposes will make do with movie next, and wine, since I did add new Seuss to my collection already. Reminding myself to squeeze every opportunity out of summer, my all-time favourite accessory.

    1. You are so right! We were out last night and pulled over and sat eating ice cream and watching the sun set. It was glorious!

  2. I can't wait ... for our holidays in Nova Scotia at the end of the month! It will be so nice to be on the coast.
I think one of the most interesting women in politics today, albeit in the US, is Sen. Elizabeth Warren. I just saw her speech on Planned Parenthood funding, it was marvellous!

    1. If I can be nosy Patricia, where are you off to in NS ("home" stomp for me.)? Commenting because off to look for that Elizabeth Warren speech, someone else just mentioned it to me as well.

    2. GF - we will be in Halifax with my husband's brother, and Sydney with his sister. Also take a turn around the Cabot Trail. I think you will find the Elizabeth Warren speech interesting - no wonder she sounds so exasperated!

    3. Well remember - if you drive through fredericton and Ned a cup of coffee, get in touch!

    4. Patricia, so glad you pointed her speech out to me. Enjoy East Coast living; my pater lives above the Bras d'Or between Port Hawesbury and Baddeck, most of fam Hali to Truro.

  3. I am so mellow at this point I don't think I have any 'can't waits', except for visits by my youngest.

We have a very social next 5 days, then deep August quiet. And peace. Equilibrium is a very good thing, indeed.

    1. We are opposite, July was relatively quiet, but August is hectic! Love that equilibrium!

  4. I know that I am the odd duck since I can't wait for fall. Summer and heat are just not my thing. The cool crispness of autumn is heaven to me. I don't even mind winter although sometimes I can get a little grumpy if it overstays its welcome. I like warm sweaters, football games and returning to the city, all things which are just around the corner!

    1. I love fall, too! Winter, not so much,. It would be wonderful if the seasons actually ran for the exact number of months they were supposed to, wouldn't it?
