December!

Love is like the wild rose-briar,
Friendship like the holly-tree --
The holly is dark when the rose-briar blooms
But which will bloom most constantly?
The wild-rose briar is sweet in the spring,
Its summer blossoms scent the air;
Yet wait till winter comes again
And who will call the wild-briar fair?
Then scorn the silly rose-wreath now
And deck thee with the holly's sheen,
That when December blights thy brow
He may still leave thy garland green.

Emily Bronte

Welcome to December - that month of busy-cozy-snowy-fading light-holidays-solstice-childhood memories time.

It will get busy.

You may eat too much.

You may have an extra glass of whatever.

You will forget to buy a gift or forget where you hid one.

Someone is sure to have a tantrum.

It might be you.

No matter, on this Sunday morning, let's look out the window and be very quiet and enjoy the snow and the lights.  There is something about December.  And the lights are little beacons, drawing us in, saying "relax, enjoy the show.."

Have a wonderful day and stay safe out there!
