Last Resort Wear

Okay - this post is actually about Tory Burch's new 2013 resort wear line, but given that it is still -20 outside, I am stuck inside and learning how to relax, it feels more like I should be reviewing Last Resort wear for this bunch:

The Departed - Men Definitely Looking for Last Resort Wear
But never mind.  Even though I will not get further south than Manhattan this March, I can dream of places where the warm winds blow, the drinks flow freely, and every day is a sunny, happy day...

I have seen JC's resort wear and it did not leave me oohing and aahing.  But Tory Burch's resort wear!  My goodness - someone pass me a margarita, I feel faint!  Pool Boy!

I do not own anything by Tory Burch.  But given my self-imposed shopping exile, I may be tempted to save up and watch for some sales and have one or two of these lovelies in my wardrobe for summer:

Look how they have it styled - trendy, but not like Gayle has thrown everything on the poor model kind of trendy!  When I saw this picture I thought "wow, if I saw her on the street, I would think she looked very chic."

The dress below is boho, but for those of us who don't do boho so well, there is enough structure to make it do-able:

Tory's Must Haves - As new looks arrive, see what's on Tory's list of favorites, from cardigans, tops, bags and shoes to the jewelry that she's wearing now.

Look at this - perfection!

And these shoes!

And there is a sandal version of them, as well as heels...

Now this is definitely a more upscale line, but if you can find these on a good sale, I think they would be lovely.  These seem trendy, but not trendy, if you know what I mean?  What I do not know about is the quality, so would love it if folks who have or who wear Tory Burch would chime in.  It also appears that they do not do JC vanity sizing, as clothes went from 0 to size 12 and from xs to xl (though the xxs may exist and i don't see it...) so would be curious about the advice re: sizing.  I was very impressed that there is a review capacity as well.

In the interim, it is snowing out again, am heading out to the grocery store soon and I am dressed more like this than the lovely clothes I have shown above, sigh..

Happy Saturday and Stay Safe Out There!
