It was 51 years ago this fine day that Barry came into the world. He is quite the man, and he has quite the following here, beloved as he is by women who would like nothing more than for him to drop by their house and do a little painting (and yes, I DO mean painting!)

At a dinner party we were all at last weekend, five of the nine guests were Scorpios. I am waiting for Coulda Shoulda Woulda to tell me what it means, but I am quite sure it means nothing good....

In honour of the Scorpios in my life, shall we make the following:
Scorpion
Yield: 1 Cocktail
Ingredients:
- juice of half a lime
- 1 1/2 oz orange juice
- 3/4 oz brandy
- 3/4 oz light rum
- 3/4 oz dark rum
- 1/4 oz triple sec
- lime wedge for garnish
Preparation:
- Squeeze the lime juice into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
- Add all of the other ingredients.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a highball glass with ice cubes.
- Garnish with the lime wedge.
